I found his name on the wall..... I cried.
I needed that..... Jack left us so early, but his memory never will. Thanks Jack for the friendship, and for your service.

I can't add anything else that Debi hasn't already said. Jack was one of the "pack". Those guys always included Jack in their endeavors throughout the years. He was and never will be forgotten.

I have known about Jack for a long time. He and Gaylyn were good friends in high school and he let us take his car one night, Gaylyn accidently hit a big dip in the road and made a dent. She takes the car back and Jack didn't even get mad. He was such a nice guy and taken from us way too soon, thank you Jack for your service and may you rest in peace.

I, too, traveled to Washington DC and found JackĀ“s name on the wall and made an etching of it, which I treasure. I was lucky to be a cheerleader with Jack. The cheerleaders got together for a summer picnic just before Jack shipped out to Viet Nam. It was a very special time together.

I can't add any more about the personality and kindness of Jack. He was a good classmate and friend. I want to thank him now publicly for his service to our country. As I grow older, I am so grateful for the service and sacrifice of good men like Jack. He is in our hearts eternally. Thank you Jack.

Jack Crow took me to one of my first formal dances. He was such a gentleman. Sue and I played doubles tennis with him - I recall his wide grin, shiny hair, bright sunlight, and white shorts. It was when I located his name on the VietNam Memorial that the tears came. A brave man who died for us all.

Jack was a good friend and a neighbor. We would spend hours in his basement playing pool. I will never forget when he left for his military service and the good times we had, not knowing that we would never see him again. I remember being stunned and then crying when I heard about his death. I have also been to DC and found his name on the wall along with a couple of other friends. I honor them and Jack for their service to our country. Rest in peace Jack. You were taken so early.

Now that I am back to CA after enjoying the wonderful reunion and seeing old friends, I found these "In Memory" sites and want to add my thoughts of my neighbor Jack. He truly was a charming, kind friend growing up. He and his younger brother often took care of our home when we left on vacation, and worked so hard. Jack and I loved to joke with people that we were twins as our birthday was the same May 4th and our drivers licences were pretty convincing! I cried at his funeral in our ward building - I couldn't believe he was gone and as Debi said, it really drove home what a horror war was. Even more sad was all we had of him at the service was a picture. What a loss! I thought of him and missed him at the reunion greatly. What a great guy he was!

Way Way Way to young.  Thank you for your courage and love of our country that cost you your life at such a young man.
