Comments:

I have enjoyed being married to the same man for 34 years and being a stay at home mom. I'm a professional volunteer, involved in various community projects, and am very active in my church, St. John the Baptist in Draper, where I am also a lector and Eucharistic Minister.

I enjoy travelling and last year my daughter Katey and I spent a week at the beach in Ixtapa, Mexico, my husband Brent and I spent our anniversary at a beach house in Bodega Bay, California, and my daughter Amanda and I spent 17 days in Egypt in November. That was an unusual travel year. This year we're going to Bodega Bay again for our anniversary and going with our daughters to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, during Christmas.

My daughter Amanda (a U of U grad) is a sales rep with a trucking company; previously she was a traffic reporter on radio and TV for Channel 4. Katey will begin her first year of nursing at the U of U this fall.

I am still good friends with Marva Andersen (Herx), even though she can't spell my last name, and visited her and her husband Bill at Hilton Head in February.

I just got back from a trip to California. Started in Mendocino, spend 2 days at the Bodega Bay beach house, went to San Francisco for a performance of the musical Wicked, then to Monterey and the Aquarium.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Spent a week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, over Christmas with our two daughters and a boyfriend (the daughter's, not mine). Enjoyed the heat and the great beach. Looking forward to some more travels over the summer.

Well a lot has happened since I updated my profile in 2010.

In 2011 our daughter graduated from the U of U (Go Utes) with degrees in Nursing and Family and Consumer Studies. She is an RN at UNI. To celebrate her graduation we took a family trip to Italy, spent two days in Rome, then took the train to Venice where we caught a cruise ship and visited the Greek Islands.

I am a huge tennis and Roger Federer fan and in 2013 for my birthday, my husband and I went to the tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California, where I was lucky enough to have box seats the night Roger played Rafa. It's amazing to be that close to the players! I am thinking we will be going back for my birthday in 2015.

One year ago today, my husband and I were on our way to an 11-day pilgrimage in France with several people from our parish. It was an amazing trip and we covered a lot of ground and saw beautiful places. We definitely want to go back, especially spend more time in Paris. To see all the white marble crosses and walk on Omaha Beach in Normandy was a very profound experience.

2014 is even better! Our oldest daughter is getting married on September 26, the day before the reunion, so I'm wondering if I'll have the energy to be there. Will need to decide really soon. I need to go so Marva can experience the reunion vicariously through me!
