Funeral services for Katherine "Kathy" Annette Johnson, 23, who died February 24, 1975, in a Salt Lake hospital, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident, will be Thursday, noon, Grant 7th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call 36 E 7th South Wednesday 6-8 pm. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
Born April 12, 1951, American Falls, Idaho to Dr. Grant La Mar and Sherma Magelson Johnson. Member LDS Church; graduate University of Utah.
Survivors: mother, Salt Lake City; brothers, Martin, Salt Lake City, Sarun, serving LDS mission, Canada.
The article says: "Miss Johnson was killed in a two-car collision Monday at 1:45 pm at 7800 South Wasatch Blvd. Three other persons were injured in the crash. The victim was pinned in the vehicle after it was hit broadside."

Kathy was in Pep Club with me --- What a fun redhead! I had returned from serving a mission in Bolivia and had seen and talked to Kathy at a fireside. Shortly after that I read about her accident and funeral in the newspaper. Life is fragile. This was early in 1975.Laurie Stout (Letz)
Oh Kake! I still have so many fond memories of you. It was a joy growing up next door and sharing the ups and downs of jr. high, high school and college life. Kathy was loving and kind. I envied her creative mind. Everyone should have a friend like you.
