Steve was a friend of mine. He was not part of any main stream and followed his own path. We had good times together back in school. When I heard of his early passing I was saddened. The picture of him riding a motorcycle with his colors on reminded me that it was all he ever wanted to do and be. He lived his dream and I hope it was all he hoped it would be. I miss you buddy!

Steve was the first of the Bonnivile croud that came to
Granite Park that I befriended. We didn't hang out togerher a lot but I am proud to call him my friend. The last time I saw him I ran into him in the Red Bell Saloon about 10 years after graduration and we talked about life and the fun we had had together in school. We drank some beer, shot some pool and he beat me out of $20.
I always knew that he would be there for me if I needed.
He was a great guy. I miss him.
Rest in peace Steve(morbid)Morby.

Steve and I grew up together in the South Salt Lake, Murray
area. We didn't meet until Granite. We both had this Wild side, though Steve lived it better then I. I remember how happy he was when I bought my first Harley in 1976. I took it over to his house, to show him. Several of his Baron friends were there at the time. I fit in like a raisin in a pale of milk. They welcomed me with open arms. He said how proud of me his was. Then when I got my first tattoo, he was elated, and wanted me to join the club....Again a raisin in that pale of milk. He and I would go for short rides together,in the evenings. Great memories.....
When I first started officiating football, it was in the Ute Conference (Little League) Steve's son was playing for Cottonwood. He never miss a Saturday morning game.He would wait for me to finish, we would have coffee together.
On Friday March 21st 2003 at 1:00 was his funeral .I showed up in a suit and tie. Again the Raisin in the milk. The few who new me welcomed me with open arms, just as Steve would have. I couldn't find a parking place because of all the motorcycles in the lot. They had his Harley in the Mortuary in front of the Alter. I couldn't help but cry, not seeing him on it.
He was more then a friend, he was family to me . I miss him dearly.... God Speed SteveO RIP

Steve's mother and mine were close work mates at KFC, Steve and I where great friends through junior high. Even though we went our different ways Steve was always a friend and brother. When ever I think of Steve I get a big grin and think Harley, Fifth of something, and his jolley laugh. I miss him.
