Gaylyn remained one of my best friends right up to end. Her and I had four sons, almost the same age. She faced her disease with grace and dignity. When tragedy hit our family, Gay was there for me. I miss our weekly talks. I miss her laugh. I miss Gaylyn, I love Gaylyn and I will never forget her. RIP my friend.

I remember going over to Gaylyn's house when we were in 8th and 9th grade - visiting with her mom. My memories of her are that she wasn't phony or spoiled. And she was athletic; she'd do these great cartwheel round-offs as a cheerleader! I also remember her wide smile and perfect hair. Her friends will especially miss her at this reunion, I'm sure.

Gaylyn was fun to be with. Yes, her smile was infectious! We also were 9th grade cheerleaders the Reed twins, Debbie Card and Paula. I always wanted to be able to pop my gum the way Gaylyn did. She made chewing it look so good. I have stories of Gaylyn stored in my mind. Like after getting married, she and Lynda Collete and their small babies would come to my house every Tuesday after I went grocery shopping to eat "cheese and crackers" with me. Some things just stay indelibly written in our hearts of people that touched our lives forever. Gaylyn was one of those.

I have fond memories of Gaylyn. She was an amazing person and lite up a room by entering it. I am saddened to hear of her passing. I hope her family can continue her legacy of light.
