After graduating from Granite I attended the University of Utah. I met and married my sweetheart, Rick. in 1970. We have spent our time boating, water skiing, camping, and traveling, running kids to dancing lessons, guitar lessons, debate (all mothers know the routine!). We have been busy with church callings and hopefully lots of fun. We have three wonderful children and six grandchildren we adore - 5 very active boys and one princess! I continued to dance and was still on pointe at 35! After raising my kids, I became the head secretary in our neighborhood elementary school. Working with kids is the best and I love my job everyday. Besides regular ed students, Willow Canyon has 4 Special Needs clusters. I love these kids and find they add so much to my life. I love mountain biking (would rather be on my bike than on my feet!), running, lots of reading, good friends, and of course, spending as much time with family as possible. We have cycled through Idaho, Oregon, California and all over Utah. The most 'out-of-my-box' cycling I have done was riding through train tunnels (no more trains coming! TeeHee) that were 2 miles long. Almost lived on the other side of one for life (wasn't going back through!!) Rick and I just returned from a week in Disneyland with our grandchildren and their parents. What a hoot!
My children are all raised and lead successful lives. Brandon graduated from the U in Communications. He was one in the nation to be on an international debate team. He now lives in Sandy and is the lead network administrator for a national firm. No kids (yet!). Tori was an art history major (went to 4 universities as I remember! and was an art gallery director before getting married. She lives in Pleasant Grove with her husband and three sons. Hilary graduated from the U (after attending FIVE universities, including one in Mexico!)with a degree in Psychology, Spanish and is a certified physical trainer. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and three children (two boys and the princess) while he finishes his residency at Harrisburg Hospital.
We hope to retire in 2 years and do lots of playing!
