In Memory

Jerry Reed

Jerry will be missed!  We have him to thank for this website as well as organizing and promoting several of the last reunions and  he was looking forward to a 55 year reunion.
May he rest in peace!

Just sing or recite the words to the "Song of The G"...... and as you hear the words

once again, it totally describes the spirit and personality of Mr. Jerry Reed.  Jerry,

you always were, and always will be THE Granite Farmer.   Rest In Peace

and thanks for the friendship and memories.

Reflecting on Jerry just before our 55th Class Reunion gives me pause.  Where has the time flown? He and I would round each other up every 5 years and ask, "Do we want to do this again?".  Indeed we did do it again and again but I will miss him when at the 55th he is absent.  Jerry became a much closer friend as the years went by than during our high school years and I recall with fondness the planning and implementing that took place in creating the Class Reunions.  He is the TRUE GRANITIAN through to the core.  If we listen closely at our 55th we might just hear him singing softly in the breeze, "When sights and sounds of the campus fade in the long busy years, yet will return in our memories...".

RIP Jerry and best regards to your family!
