Thanks to Gary Cottam for notifying us of Steve Rose's passing.   This is the information he provided:

"Steve dropped out of school to join the Navy during his junior year if I remember right. He was assigned to the river patrol boats, an extremely dangerous job to say the least. Steve took care of his wife Trudy for a number of years as she was mostly bedridden. She passed away about a year ago. Steve was an artist and could do things that were amazing, I saw "wood trim" in his house that was really a piece of plastic, had to look close to tell it wasn't wood. Steve was generous to a fault and took care of me for a couple of weeks after I had a brain tumor removed. Steve died working in his yard which was always immaculate. I'm going to miss him. I think his younger sister Renee went to Granite. Steve still had his Granite Sophomore Year Book."
