Jeanne West Thornton

After high school, I attended the University of Utah. Graduated with my BS in nursing in 1974. Met Alan in 1971 and we married shortly after. (He proposed on the second date.) Started a job in nursing at the University of Utah Hospital as a staff nurse in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. I was a Flight Nurse, Chief Flight Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager and now Nurse Manager of the unit. I guess when you love something you stick with it. Alan owns his own real estate appraisal business. Alan and I have two children and 5 wonderful grandchildren who are the joy of our lives. We love to travel. Off to Sweden, Finland, and Estonia this month 7/09-8/09. Alan served his mission in Finland so he is excited to return. It has been a great journey down memory lane reading all of your
stories. I hope more participate! 2015 update: Alan and I are now retired and enjoying every minute of it. Last year we took a 5 week trip to Europe seeing England, Ireland, Scotland and Paris, France. We love spending time with our family and grandkids.
2014-2017 Alan and I completed a 3 year mission on Temple Square as Guest Services Zone Leaders over 120+ missionaries. Very rewarding. Great opportunity for anyone interested in serving while still at home.
