Susan and I have had the opportunity to live in Logan, Ut., Twin Falls, Id., Seattle, Wa., Chicago, Ill. and Billings Mt.. My employment with Sears was what took us to all these different locations.

We have set down deep roots here in Billings. We love the outdoor lifestyle and our family has prospered in Montana. Three of our daughters and one of our sons found their eternal companions in Montana. Two of our daughters and one of our sons are currently living with their families in Billings. Another daughter and her family are living in Saratoga Springs, Utah. We also have a son and daughter that found their eternal companions at BYU Idaho and they are living with their families respectively in Denver, Co. and Hurricane, Utah.

I retired from serving in the Montana State Legislature in December of 2022 after 14 years of service.

I served 6 yrs as a member of the House of Representative. I was Majority Whip for 4 of those years.

In 2014 I was elected to the Montana State Senate and served for 8 yrs. I was Majority Whip for 6 of those years. The last 2 years I was the Majority Leader.

I find politics to be fascinating. My first "major" while attending the University of Utah was political science. Somehow before I finished graduate school my direction changed and I ended up in business working for Sears.

I have been fortunate to again become heavily involved in an area that was of great interest to me in high school and college.
